How To Use The Program, Tips On Using The Program, Getting Started
1. Hitech Financial Accounting supports the date formats supported by window opearting system. The windows date system can be set to DMY / MDY or any other date format. To set the date format to DMY start up Control panel from the Program Manager. Click on the icon : International. Change the date format to DMY. Also you can make the setting so that the date is displyed as DD/MM/YYYY or MM/DD/YYYY to keep uniformity with the date system of Hitech Financial Accounting.
2. Hitech Financial Accounting is equipped with Multiple Document Interface (MDI). You can open many reports at a time and keep the open for further rewiew. All these windows which are open at a time are added in the main menu Utility
. You can switch to any of the window using the menu command. Also you can cascade all the open windows using the menu command Cacade All Open Windows.
3. The main program window display a background image. You can enable this background image using the menu command Enable Background Image . The program tips can be enabled using menu command Enable Program Tips under the main menu Utility
.
4. The program displays popup menus which can be displayed using the right mouse button or key combination of Shift + Alt.
5. Print command is linked with Hitech Print Engine which is capable of printing both in Windows as well as in DOS mode while remaining in Windows. It provides speed, quality as required. Printing in DOS mode provides fast printing. In DOS mode you have to specify whether you want the print out in compressed mode
or normal mode
. You can have the company name header in large fonts. Printing done in Windows mode, uses its own special fonts, which provides quality of printing. The print dialougue has the check box marked Produce fast print output
. If this option is checked printing is done in draft mode (DOS like) on dot matrix printer. This is most cost effective for bulk printing.
6. The program includes built in tools like Information Export Panel Information Export Panel
that allows you to export all reports from to program to Printer with print preview, email, MS Excel, MS Word, CSV Text and also upload to web using FTP. All reports can be displayed in grid as well as in list view (sort-able) format.
7. Another tool included with the program is Communication Control
that is linked to party (customer, supplier, employee etc.) records. You can write a communication using word, excel or notepad or send an email to a party. The communication is linked with the party record and can be re-accessed again. Also telephone numbers can be dialed by click of a button using the computer modem.

software are VAT Enabled and India GST (CGST / SGST) Enabled. There
are two distinct versions of the software, VAT Version or GST Version,
that you have to select at the time of the download of the software.
VAT (Value Added
Tax) is effective in more than 125 countries now other than India. VAT was
made effective in India in 2008 complying with International Accounting
Conventions adapted by 140 or more countries regarding taxation for trade
and services.
GST has been Effetive in India in place of VAT. As we have to comply with VAT for sale of software in other 125 or more countries, we have now released newer seperate latest version of our software when extensive Field trials of GST in Accounting, CA feedback compiled on real tax returns is completed. GST features comprising of CGST/SGST, Input Tax Credit and HSN codes for Products are included in the basic framework for the Indian GST version of the off-the-shelf accounting software. VAT version will continue to use VAT Input, VAT Output and VAT codes for Products as per the international norms.
Many business use services of Tax Consultants and Chartered Accountants for filing the Tax Return and the tax return of the software is not used. To assist such activity you can export all reports from the software to MS Excel or MS Word and submit it to your tax adviser for finacial figures for the business . The software will perform all Inventory Control, Vouchers, Nominal Ledger Accounts along with Working/Trading and Profit & Loss account that will give you all figures ready for export for filing Tax Return. Under GST, the majority of dealers will need to adopt two-, four-, or eight-digit HSN codes for their commodities, depending on their turnover the year prior.
Dealers with turnover of less than Rupees 1.5 crores WILL NOT BE required to adopt HSN codes for their commodities.
Dealers with turnover between Rupees 1.5 crores and Rupees 5 crores shall be required to use
two (2) digit HSN codes for their commodities.
Dealers with turnover equal to Rupees 5 crores and above shall be required to use
four (4) digit HSN codes for their commodities.
In the case of imports/exports, HSN codes of eight (8) digits shall be compulsory, as GST has to be compatible with international standards and practices.
